Chief Buildings Terms of Service
These terms describe the use of the Chief Buildings sourcing site and how an enquiry moves toward a separate procurement agreement.
Website and service scope
Use the site to review example steel building packages and submit an enquiry. Submitting an enquiry opens a discussion about what assistance may be available. The scope of any paid coordination, timeline and commercial terms should be stated in a separate written agreement between the relevant parties.
Supplier offers and revisions
Illustrative schedules help buyers explain requirements. Quotes, drawings, certificates and material substitutions depend on the supplier selected and the revision agreed for the project. Review named exclusions and any time limit on an offer before using its price in an estimate. When an opening or design load changes, seek confirmation of the revised scope.
Buyer and project team responsibilities
Provide the intended use, destination and drawing revision with your request. The buyer and project team should confirm local design requirements, verify that the package is suitable and coordinate the work of their professional advisers. Manufacturing, statutory approvals and installation remain the responsibility of the parties contracted for that work.
Inspection and freight scope
An inspection can cover the checks agreed in its brief. Ask for the report scope and open items before releasing goods. Responsibility for packing, transport, insurance, unloading and customs documents should follow the written order and agreed delivery terms.
Using site materials
You may use the worksheets to prepare your own enquiry. Preserve their purpose as planning aids and check project inputs against current information from your advisers. Avoid sending content you lack permission to share.
Questions
Direct questions about these terms to the quote desk. Refer to the relevant drawing, request or offer by date and revision so the discussion can be connected to the correct procurement file.
